Hairless except for tufts on its head and scraggly fur on its chin and paws, the Chinese Crested dog is by most standards, well ... really ugly. Except to this woman who adores it and finds it lovely. The dog's skin is human-like and, the owner told me, petting the dog gently, will keep you warmer at night that any hot water bottle. And they are also good ratters.
This model's conventional beauty and value owe much to her youth and her skeletal thinness, which allow the expensive clothes she displays on her body to fall uninterrupted by the lumps and curves most of us sport.
True love! Thanks for the wonderful photos from the Barre animal shelter.and the beautiful people helping to clear away the aftermath of the flood.
Chinese crested dogs are so cute, I watch one prancing down Elizabeth St, NYC almost daily. They actually prance when they walk and seem to think they are the most gorgeous creature ever. Also they are endless funny.
