They work our farms, factories, and construction sites. They pay taxes, even though they will never be allowed to share in most of the benefits their contributions paid for. They fill jobs that locals don't want—at least for the wages and under the conditions on offer. Many have put down roots and are raising families.
If Trump’s scheme for mass deportation of undocumented immigrants is implemented, many lives, already hard, will become harder. The costs—financial and ethical—of such cold-heartedness will leave us all poorer.
Terry,
This kind of thing coming up makes me so sad and disgusted ! At 82 years old , I feel so unable to do anything! Your pictures speak SO clearly and poignantly ! Keep sending them out!
Thanks , Celina
Bravo, Terry! We need to figure out how to protect them. ¿A cadre of immigration lawyers? The farms, dairies, and businesses that employ undocumented workers meed to be organized. Now is the time!
