I started to create yesterday’s “egg” post with this photo—a dozen eggs set on an old quilt. The eggs were a Christmas present; the quilt, I bought many decades ago in North Carolina, along with a half dozen already antique, glass-smooth Griswald cast iron pots I still use today.
But back to the photo above: Yesterday, after poking around for a good pairing for it, I saw that two of the possible contenders worked better with each other than either did with this egg/quilt image.
Perhaps, though the opposable elements within this photo—the parallel pastels of the old quilt and the perfect little eggs, the geometric regularity of the sewn squares and the dozen-egg carton—are enough.
Ah, the best, the loveliest. I could just feast my eyes on these eggs with quilt!
As always, your photos delight! A refreshing shift from the political slug fest!
Thanks❣️
