The people here are part of a local clean-up effort that has supplied everything from food and diapers, to tools and pet food to flood stricken Barre, Vermont. They were working out to Rainbow Bridge, a tiny storefront on Main St. that still, more than a week after the flood, has no electricity and a flooded basement. More affluent Montpelier has been full of volunteers, along with relief and organizational efforts from numerous non-profits. Down-and-out Barre relies on Rainbow Bridge. Rather than giving back--in a town where 44% voted for Trump and anti-LGBTQ+ antagonism is not uncommon-- Rainbow Bridge is giving forward with warmth and generosity.
