It’s all about living on a planet for the next few days. We are in the midst of a satisfyingly big April snow storm—more than a foot and still coming down. Last night, I left the light on outside my bedroom window and fell asleep watching the wild wind itself, as the light illuminated the fall and swirl of flakes forming great complex patterns with each gust and lull.
And Monday, the total eclipse. The media are all aflutter, predicting maybe 200,000 tourists clogging up the roads. We get to hunker down, banish politics and disaster for a few minutes, and raise a toast to living on a most beautiful planet.
My internet is flickering off, so I’ll post this with even less diligent proofing than usual.
the beauty of nature ❤️
