Hot town, sewing in the city / Laos, El Salvador, India
It is uncharacteristically hot today in Vermont, and many (including me) will jump, gasping, into still-frigid ponds and streams for relief.
On much of our beleaguered planet though, where waterways are neither clean nor close and air conditioning is non-existent, heat pushes many to move their work and social lives to verandas and outdoor shade.
I love all these photos. Sewing is still a Thing all over the world, as we tend to forget.
We have ceilingsfans which do the trick most of the time. Love them! A /C about 2x a season!
