Two late-middle-aged guys, probably working class, one relaxing, one working, both sparking a photographer’s guessing game.
The top guy has an open, optimistic face. It’s late afternoon and he is looking out from the porch of a Barre sports bar with genial curiosity.
The bottom guy seems worn out, guarded—but what else would the tired flesh under his eyes convey. A guard or doorman, he sits behind a window, on the lookout for possible disturbances as rain spit-shines the Soho cobblestones.
The first man greeted my camera with amusement and played along. The other man yelled at me (not unfairly) through the window after realizing I had snapped his picture.
I like the interaction with you, and hearing about it.
What amazingly different expressions.
