Got an email from the NY Times with the subject “What women endure.” The message text noted that “it is common for women’s pain to be ignored or dismissed. In other cases, it is not properly treated.” So far, so good, but it was accompanied by rotating ads chosen by algorithms dunked in unintentional irony:
