Left: Ruth Einstein, fiddling away on Monhegan Island, Maine. A musician of range and talent who travels with ease from classical to Mexican tunes and Latin ballads of love and strife. Photo by Bryan Pfeifer, whose substack Chasing Nature is beautifully written and a joy to spend time with.
Right: Elizabeth LaPrelle, playing a banjo at Vermont’s Four Corners Church, is a cranky aficionado and one part of the lovely close harmony folk duo Anna and Elizabeth. Photo by me.
I love these soul-filled portraits. Both.
I often notice compositional similarities in your two images -- in this case, the angles at which the two women are posed and the angles in the lower left quadrant. It amazes me that your brain makes these connections beyond the "subject" of the image.
