Top/left is a one-person atelier in southern France. I don’t know its function, only that the man looks so pleased to be there. Below/right is the floor of the Graniteville, VT Rock of Ages factory floor, where workers cut, carve, and polish tombstones from local granite, an specially clear-grained grey stone that is quarried just down the road.

Love the man in his atelier. Looking at his chaotic work space makes me feel right at home.
Engraving grave markers for a living would certainly give you a perspective on living!
