No, not sappy. But I am wondering about my own reaction to the cityscape. I find is more tranquil and multidimensional than the two mountains and clouds, which seem more…static?
It might be party that, but I have thought more about it and I think that I like the unsymmetricality (is that a word) of the NY shot. Just personal taste, I suppose. Can't wait to see what you come up with next.
Growing up in semi arid desert, there wasn't any, for one thing. Water pictures are often so conventional. And I am not a big fan of green, preferring the grays and browns and tans of stick season and winter.
Yes, I remember returning to vt after a stay in nm and az and finding our pervasive green just too garish compared to the subtle palette of the desert.
Hmmm. i went back and forth over this one and it may have ended up too "poetic", too over-written. But that's the pleasure of this experiment. I get to ... experiment.

Could be the very different image styles. the ny shot is a high res sharp with pro camera. The hawaii shot was a scanned slide and very soft.

Right again, Terry. Again, thank you.
Thanks. Not too sappy?
The words are wonderful. A whole new way of thinking about water (which I often have no patience for).I Thank you!
Thanks. I feared it might be too sappy. No patience for water? tell me more.

The photographs plus the words! How fortunate we are. Thank you.
Except when we aren't. HA. I find I write more optimistic and grateful than I am able to maintain on a daily basis.
Terry,I am so enjoying your posts! This one is fascinating! Thank you!
I am so glad. Thank you.
So lyrical. Often your text is as delightful as your photos!
