Faith in humanity shored up. We (the nation) need stories like this, not the worthless dreck that is 98% of "journalism" right now.

Thanks. My most hated trend in journalism is the endless speculation rather analysis and clickbait rather than deep nreporting.

You are a hero!! Thanks so much for doing that! Oh those poor people whose pets were left behind…here in the Pattee Canyon in Montana we’re concerned about wildfires…meds, money, dog, neighbor’s cat, bunnies and chickens all get shoved into the RAV-4 and we escape via a single lane road down into town if we need to evacuate.

It’s all so sad, continues to bring tears, but help from so many is heartwarming. I can’t imagine losing my house and all its memories.

I'd save my 2 cats and my back-up hard drive. I remember a TV interview with an old woman who lost the 4-generational home with everything in it. The "newsperson" asked her how do you feel? and the old lady looked straight at her and said, "relieved." I can relate to your comment, but also her hers. Just not the cats and the hard drive, please.

Back at you and YES! Agway has made me a loyal customer. What really won me was not the donation itself, but the manager's instinctive generosity and trust.
