I think Biden is fine as president, even a very good president, as long as he holds up physically. He just doesn't have the right Congress and he's not Mr. Image. Biden campaigned like a lifeless, middle-of-the-road nice guy, but once in office, he showed every sign of listening closely to Bernie and Elizabeth Warren. Imagine if his Build Back Better legislation had passed.
Not sure I ever thought that way about Obama, but when held up to Trump, he looks like cherry blossom season in Japan. Now, this is simplistic, but I think Obama's life before the run for the presidency was filled with successes, fueled by his ample intelligence and charm. But that didnt cut it in the White House, where those qualities count for little to nothing, and it took him 6 years to figure that out.
I remember walking in the Lower East Side soon after the election. It was a beautiful spring day and you couldn't help but feel optimistic. A guy crossed the street smiling and said, "Happy Obama!" That delighted me. And then it turned out that Obama, who had every qualification you could ask for, including being Mr Image and Mr. Orator, failed his first big test, protecting the People over the Banks. Admittedly, he could hardly have taken office at a worse time.
Thank you for yet another juxtaposition of two apt photos. "Hope for real change will have to wait." It can't wait. Fortunately there is much we can do, like your brilliant work here, even if it may not seem to directly involve who sits in the Oval Office.
I had a hard time writing this descriptor and not descending [ascending] into a rant. i really think Biden is a mediocre president and bad campaigner. trump is a disaster dumpster-fire president but a highly effective candidate. and they are BOTH too old.
The choice is much more graphic than between two men. It is an almost insurmountable task of dealing with a poisoned media who, at every chance to stop a candidate from lying, simple remained quiet, thereby complacent with the lie; and the millions who minds have been poisoned. These two formidable groups need to be deconstructed and deprogramed. One great irony is the projected fear by the GOP of Sharia law enveloping the USA from without, but allowing the GOP to handily start a "Christian" version of sharia.
Well, not all media, but your point certainly is valid. and the sheer amount of ink and kleig trump gets owing to his insane flamboyance and the media's need for clicks, is a disaster.
So true...😔 And it's all in the corruption due to the desire for money and power.

I remember feeling that Obama was our cherry tree, spring hope. And look how They constrained him. I have no more faith, even in the Supreme Court!
