When I first moved to Vermont about 45 years ago, I was a bit nervous around cows, as I confessed to my mom. Her wise reply: "Think of them as sisters under the skin." How can anyone look into those beautiful, sentient and feeling eyes and think, "That looks delicious--I think I'll kill it"?

i know, but STILL i am not a vegetarian. i do however try to get local meat where the animals had "a good life and one bad day."

I’m a crazy animal lover, I possibly had as many as50 or so wonderful creatures ( counting sheep and chickens , especially when we kept the rooster and the ram etc.) etc.) in the back yard at one point in my hey day. What wonderful wise companions they are❤️❤️, Celina

I am sorry I have never experienced that variety, but all the animals I have know (with one exception, long story) have enriched my life . I remember very fondly the few times we went riding together. It was a pleasure and a thrill. Thank you.
