Great piccies, thanks for sharing. I spend most of my summers eating local soft fruit, but with no yard have to visit the farmers markets, boo-hoo. Why does no one in the east grow huckleberries?

Besides the practical and environmental reasons for growing your own food, there is also a deep feeling of satisfaction.

Well, I confess, I find more satisfaction in eating the results than in growing the garden. :)

How do you prepare them? Like almost everything else this time of year, I go for olive oil and Parmesan. I suspect you are more abstemious.

Your garden sounds like the perfect ratio of toil to table. That secret spider web reveal is photography magic. I love it.

Early morning is a great time to shoot ... but also to drink coffee and eat breakfast. Ah so many hard choices.

Oh my gosh that sounds so good. I just had a breakfast of salmon on seeded rye from Balthazar - not bad - but you make me want to visit your back porch instead.

I’ve never heard of those luscious sounding beans. Where do you get the seed?

People just pass them around. If leave some of the beans on the vine until they are hard, you can save them and plant the next year. Where do you live?

It's too late to plant them for this year. but you can try next spring and if they dont germinate, i can give you more. I can leave them at the town clerk's office for you.

Ok sounds good. I’ve planted 3 year old bean seeds and had success so bet these will work.
