This post drops at 4:20 am on December 21, the time of solstice in Vermont—the moment when night loosens its dark hold and bows to the power of light.
Such beautiful photos! and Thanks for Jason Anthony's description. I want to read more.
Thanks. He is goode
This is a stunner, the glorious photos and every last word. They make the day even more precious. Thank you once again.
Thanks Jeannette. How are you doing?
Lovely pictures. Small mistake, though. Equinox is when there is equal day and night. Solstice is the long and short.
I do not find any reference to equal day and night here. It is all the solstice. The short day does add two minutes to the day at dawn and at dusk from here on to the equinox. Please explain the equinox reference for me.
I fixed it. The original post said the Solstice was equal night/day [that's the equinox) rather than longest day or night.
BIG, GIANT MISTAKE!!! d'oh! thanks
I edited it, but you can't call it back. Thanks for pointing it out.
