Isn't there an old saying somewhere "the more things change, the more they remain the same"?

So moving. thank you Terry. And please write something longer...everyone needs to ponder this history, and our continuing failure to respond. Here is a link to my piece that was a little bit similar during the pandemic:"It's not just covid, it's the cruelty it exposes" -- https://medium.com/@angela.bona/its-not-just-covid-it-s-the-cruelty-it-exposes-ae626bc6ad41

Just read your Medium piece. It is comprehensive and compassionate. I am so glad someone --you--is going deeper and broader. If you ever need any free illustration photos, let me know. 65,000 to choose from.

I'll be in NYC this winter. maybe february march, so let's get together.

Just saw this Terry! Thank you so much for reading the piece and your kind words. Would be lovely to get together. Cindy is planning a meeting of our writers' group in early 2025--we could at least have that. Hope all is well.

Terry, thank you. I saw this post just after reading the painfully specific article in The Bridge about Montpelier's homeless population and the crisis of finding shelter for them. I'm ashamed to realize how invisible these people have been to me, living just three miles away.

The Bridge has been doing an excellent job covering homelessness, especially given its limited resources.
