When looking for street food in Peru, we always sought out items that were being fried right before our eyes. It made us pretty sure that any bacteria were defunct. And of course, highland towns in Peru are where you can get the best ‘French’ fries!

I forget what those Nepalese goodies are called, but in Nepal they are a festival food. They’re made with rice flour and a criminal amount of sugar. Highly addictive, as I can atest.
